Why did you decide to become a Personal Trainer?

I wanted to share the amazing benefits I have felt both mentally and physically during my time in the gym. Sharing my knowledge, but also learning at the same time. Teaching the importance of functionality and the practicality behind the exercises, incorporating mobility whilst building strength for everyday life.

What areas do you specialise in?

Strength and muscular endurance, hypertrophy, HIIT.

What do you love about your job?

I love meeting new people, learning their stories, helping and supporting them to achieve their goals. Making connections. Building friendships.

What are your greatest strengths as a Personal Trainer?

My greatest strengths are I am open, approachable, and friendly. Having a lot of life experience so I can relate to a lot of people and a lot of situations. I can sometimes be funny, slightly sarcastic and possibly witty (depending on who you ask 😊).

What advice would you give to someone starting Personal Training?

You have made one of the best decisions of your life, as long as you stay consistent and you’re accountable there is nothing that you cannot achieve. Health, fitness and mobility are everything so just keep turning up!

Name two of your favourite exercises and state why you chose those exercises.

Romanian Deadlift because it is both humbling and rewarding at the same time. Squats – just gotta love squats! I am a huge fan of compound exercises, anything that works your entire body is going to give you a sense of accomplishment leaving the gym.

How do you motivate yourself to achieve your health and fitness goals?

I am a coach with a coach! That is how much I believe Personal Trainers can change your life and keep you accountable. We always push you further than you tend to push yourself, realise that you are capable of more than you sometimes give yourself credit for. That is what motivates me – my PT. 😊

Please give a motivational quote or mantra.
