On the 20th to the 25th the resort welcomed many visitors for the annual Arrowtown Autumn Festival. Since beginning in 1985, the festival has generated enthusiasm among locals and visitors alike, as the charming streets and lanes of Arrowtown come to life with over 50 events celebrating the community, heritage, and the delights of the season.
Millbrook Resort has been a proud sponsor of the festival for several years now and always enjoys being able to celebrate this community affair. As part of this year’s festivities, Millbrook hosted a variety of outdoor events and activities. The mesmerising autumn trees served as a picturesque backdrop to these festivities.
On the first day of the festival, Millbrook hosted a complimentary yoga on the greens. This attracted many yoga goers, who indulged in peaceful movements while synchronising with their breath. With the sun beaming down, absence of wind, and the trees in their full autumnal glory, it was the perfect setting to be one with mind and body.
On the Monday of the festival, Millbrook hosted the Autumn festival live music and street food at Smithy’s Smoke House. Visitors to the resort had the opportunity to unwind by the open fire pits and savour a range of whiskies, local wines, and delicious street food. The atmosphere was abuzz with around 350-400 people who came to relish the laid-back and musical atmosphere.
On the final day of the festival, our talented Millbrook professional golf coaches enjoyed a beautiful day imparting their expertise onto our budding young golfers. This event was full of energy as kids between the ages of 7 and 14 acquired valuable golfing tips and tricks. The workshop was completely booked out, marking another successful day for the festival.
