The wild weather didn’t dampen the spirits of newly weds Lauren and Jeremy.
Meeting five years prior at the Carriers Arms Hotel in Riverton, Jeremy and his best mate - soon to be best man - stumbled upon the pool table that Lauren and her friends were playing on. After an evening of casual drinks, good conversation and live music, Jeremy was quick to make his attentions clear by saving his number in Lauren's phone.
Their love story continued over the years and on a romantic weekend away as they strolled the rivers edge, Jeremy dropped to one knee on a sheep-bridge lovingly named "Ralph" - which was rather fitting with Jeremy's sheep farming background.
The couple began planning their special day but unfortunately encountered several setbacks due to the Covid restrictions that were taking place across the country. When Lauren and Jeremy located Millbrook Resort online they quickly fell in love with the spectacular property and chose it for their wedding venue.
Lauren and Jeremy contacted Millbrook's wedding coordinator to discuss each of the wedding packages on offer through the resort. From their first enquiry, the couple were thrilled with the level of expertise and eye for detail the team demonstrated when planning their special day for them.
As their wedding quickly approached, so too unfortunately did grey clouds and poor weather. This didn't dampen Lauren and Jeremy's spirits though - rain is meant to bring good luck after all.
After saying their vows in an intimate ceremony surrounded by their closest family and friends, the bridal party ventured out in Millbrook golf carts to brave the elements, capturing memorable moments with the dramatic and beautiful backdrop of snow capped mountains. The newly weds finished their evening with a delicious three course dinner designed by the resort's award-winning chef team, and danced with their guests into the early hours of the morning at Millbrook's infamous Clubhouse.
