Luke Marshall

Personal Trainer

Luke began his studies in Exercise Science in 1998 and has not looked back. He owes a lot of credit to his first personal trainer who changed his mind set on exercise and helped him see the importance of functional and corrective exercise methods for a stronger, stable body inside and out.

With so much to offer his clients, Luke will match his training style to suit the needs of anyone he works with. He has key knowledge and experience in correcting movement discrepancies allowing the body to move more functionally.

Luke has a diverse skillset allowing him to work with anyone from professional athletes and bodybuilders to pregnant women and people with disabilities. He follows a holistic approach to health and wellbeing and believes one size does not fit all when it comes to exercise prescription. It is important to first get an assessment on how your body moves and then form a program based on sports, occupation, previous injuries, etc.

Luke has a keen interest in skiing, running, gym work and golf. When he is not at the Health & Fitness Centre, he may be out on the golf course hitting balls or building up kilometres on the roads.

He loves working with all his clients and really thrives seeing them happy, pain-free and achieving their goals, whatever they may be.

“Be yourself, but be your best self.”

Issy Chandler

Personal Trainer

Issy found her passion for personal training through her love for coaching, fitness, and health. She believes in focusing on the core, the building block of the body and thinks everyone should have their own fitness goals, no matter how big or small.

Her approach centers on strength, stability, confidence, and overall well-being. She aims to teach proper form and technique to help her clients get the most out of their exercises. She has experience working with various people, from beginners to experienced triathletes looking for peak performance. Issy emphasises that it's a journey, not a race and progress is progress, no matter how small.

Issy believes it's never too late to get started with a personal training plan; the most important step is the first one. She knows how intimidating the gym can be, but she's seen firsthand how having the right guidance and knowledge can make exercise incredibly beneficial for both body and mind.

Growing up in the United Kingdom, Issy loved playing netball and eventually played at a championship level in the UK and Australia. Having grown up skiing, Issy will find any excuse to hit the slopes at Coronet Peak in the winter. During summer, Issy enjoys mountain biking and hiking.

"Don't wish for it, work for it".

Toby Bunyan

Swim Instructor

Toby possesses extensive experience in swimming, triathlon, endurance sports and free diving, and is comfortable teaching children and adults of all ages. Whether you are learning to swim, looking to improve your swim stroke or aiming to boost water confidence, Toby's diverse range of experience is sure to contribute to your goals, and thanks to his personal endeavors, he can also provide specialist support for those gearing up for a triathlon or harboring an interest in ‘ultra distance’ sports.

Toby is an incredible athlete, with many great achievements (and stories) under his belt. These include completing a full distance Ironman Triathlon and a 17km nonstop open water solo swim across England’s longest lake in just 6.5 hours in 2022. In 2023 he completed two Ultramarathons while on the backpacker trail! Toby loves a challenge, and he can't wait to help you prepare for yours - big or small.

Challenges are par for the course for Toby, who was born with a club foot and has battled and overcome many challenges. He can offer you a unique insight into injury and recovery science and how to break through both physical and mental barriers in a healthy and sustainable way. He has represented MiracleFeet, a global charity for people born with club foot, fundraising and speaking at global conferences alongside other guest speakers such as the WHO Director General, inspiring many other to achieve their own personal goals.

With a passion for freediving, Toby has dived down to depths of over 30 meters on a single breath of air and has since served as the rescue diver for people diving over 70 meters deep, after completing a strict training programme with an extremely high focus on water safety.

What sets Toby apart is his strong emphasis on recovery combined with his focus on mental and physical resilience. Incorporating calisthenics, yoga and breathwork into his coaching, he ensures a holistic approach to wellbeing while empowering you to dig deeper and truly maximise your potential.

"Toby emphasises the mental side of training, gained from his experience from the grueling (but fun!) world of endurance sports and free diving, to shape not just skilled athletes but mentally and physically strong individuals."
