Tell us about yourself:
Originally from Alice Springs, Australia, I grew up in the tropical city of Darwin, where I met my husband and began my career in sales and marketing. In 2017, we relocated to Queenstown and were immediately captivated by its breathtaking landscapes, four seasons and welcoming community. Over the past seven years, I have had the privilege of leading the marketing department at Millbrook Resort and also spearheading sustainability initiatives for the business. Outside of work, I love long walks with my two collies, Indi and Maple, soaking up the sunshine, spending quality time with friends, and binging episodes of Grey’s Anatomy.
What does your typical day at Millbrook look like?
Each day is filled with diverse tasks, projects, and meetings, making sure no two days are ever the same. My role involves developing marketing strategies to drive revenue across the hotel, golf, F&B, spa, and conferencing sectors, while also managing campaigns, budgets, and coordinating with external agencies. I oversee our partnership programmes and lead various sustainability initiatives, among other things. I’m lucky to work alongside my talented team members, Jess and Sophie, who help bring our innovative ideas to life. Whether it’s crafting new guest experiences, designing fresh concepts, revamping resort collateral, or creating engaging content, there’s always something new and exciting to tackle.
What do you love most about your job?
I love the freedom to explore new ideas and the opportunity to implement them. Millbrook’s independence means we’re not bound by franchise limitations, giving my team room to experiment with unique visitor experiences, holiday packages, new amenities, and creative marketing campaigns. It’s a supportive environment where we’re encouraged to think outside the box and make a real impact.

The resort’s reputation for excellence is something I’m proud of, and it’s a credit to our hardworking team that consistently delivers outstanding service. Millbrook is a place where guests can truly relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings, creating memories that draw them back time and again.
What is the best advice you've ever been given?
“Don’t let perfection get in the way of progress.” This advice is a helpful reminder to keep moving forward, make improvements, and learn from every step rather than waiting for everything to be perfect.

Dogs! But more specifically Indi and Maple!

Grease.

A steaming hot bubble bath.
