Tell us about yourself?
I am originally from Yorkshire in the UK. I came to beautiful New Zealand and Queenstown about five years ago and have never left! I love meeting new people and building long lasting relationships. I bring positivity and energy to the workplace and love coming up with ideas and trying new things.
What does your typical day at Millbrook look like?
There is no typical day in People & Culture, and that's what I love. Although, we have projects and tasks to achieve, our days plan could change at any point. We are always spinning lots of different plates and supporting lots of different people.
What do you love most about your job?
Working with different people from different cultures and backgrounds. People fascinate me, and I learn something new every day through the interactions I have with my Millbrook family. I also love working alongside my People & Culture team mates. We work hard, support one another, and drive change across the resort.
What is it that makes Millbrook so special?
The culture. Millbrook genuinly feels like being part of a family, and we call it the Millbrook family. We all have shared values and goals and you can feel this in the way we work with one another.
What is the best advice you've ever been given?
If you want something or want to make a change, be brave and try it. What's the worst that's going to happen? We can convince ourselves not to make decisions or do things as we think the consequences will be severe, but most of the time they are not! And a previous manager of mine at Millbrook always used to say "if we're not winning, we're learning!"
