Important Guest Information, House Rules
The Resort Homes are private residences managed by Millbrook Resort, we kindly ask that all guests staying within this accommodation type respects our property owners by complying with the following requests:
Please remove any soiled footwear before entering the property.
Any spillages on soft furnishings should be reported to Reception so our housekeeping team can attend to them promptly. To avoid further damage, please do not attempt to remove stains on upholstery.
Most wall heating thermostats have been pre-programmed (basic instructions for increasing/decreasing heat are in the online Property Manual). If you are unsure how to adjust the settings, please contact Reception so a staff member can assist you.

5 McKillop Lane Property Manual
All our Resort Homes and Luxury Retreat properties have been specifically tailored and designed to the requirements of each individual owner, making your stay a unique experience. Within this manual we have included some information specific to this property, relating to the operation of various components found within the house. We would like to remind you that this is a residential area with neighbouring properties and we ask that noise levels are kept to a minimum. Should any accidental damage occur, please inform a member of staff immediately to avoid any additional charges being incurred. Thank you for your care and consideration.
PHONES
There are two phones; one in the master bedroom and one on the table between the two living areas. The phones are linked to the Millbrook Hotel system.
PRIVATE STORAGE
The owner has various cupboards and rooms around the property locked for private storage.
RUBBISH
There is a waste disposal machine in the kitchen sink. Here you can dispose of things such as soft food scraps and vegetable peel. To operate the waste disposal, put the items you want to dispose of down the drain, run the cold tap and press the button behind the sink to start the grinding. Press the button again to stop the machine. Please do not place chicken, fish or meat bones, banana skins (or any fibrous or hard foods) in the waste disposal.
There are rubbish bins located in the drawer to the left of the sink. Outside of the property there is a GENERAL WASTE rubbish bin (red lid) which are collected on a Monday and a GLASS BOTTLE rubbish bin (blue lid) which are collected on a Friday. Please rinse all bottles and remove any lids before disposing of them to avoid contamination.
HEATING
The heating is provided by under-floor heating in the lounge and bathrooms.
The under-floor heating will be turned on prior to your arrival as it takes a while to heat up. There are two different styles of dial, one for the lounge (shown on the left) and one for the kitchen, laundry and bathrooms (shown on the right.

BEDROOMS
The heaters are set for your convenience prior to your arrival, however if you wish to change the temperature, simply turn the dial to the desired setting.

IMPORTANT: Please do not place anything up against heaters or use them as drying appliances.
GAS FIREPLACE
Ensure the wall switched (located on the wall around the right side of the fireplace) is switched on. The remote control is located on the mantelpiece above the fireplace. Press the large POWER button on in the middle of the remote control to turn the fire on, and use the + and – buttons to change the temperature.

IMPORTANT: Caution – glass gets very hot. If you have young children in your group, please feel free to call Reception and ask for a fireguard to be delivered to the property. Never place items on or near the fire, ie. for drying purposes. Always turn off the appliance when the property is vacant.
KITCHEN
The kitchen is equipped with the following appliances for your convenience:
HOB
The cooking surface is an induction hob and will only function if a pot or pan is already placed on one of the three cooking zones. The hob will automatically stop if: all cooking zones are off; you do not set the heat after starting the hob; you cover a senor field with an object for longer than 10 seconds; the hob gets too hot (e.g. when a saucepan boils dry); you use incorrect cookware; you do not stop a cooking zone or change the heat setting.
1. Press the POWER button for 1 second to start the hob and immediately place your pot/pan on the chosen cooking zone.
2. Touch the control bar at the heat setting. Keeping your finger down, swipe to the left or the right but do not release until you have a correct heat setting (shown on the display).
3. Please only use the cookware supplied on top of the induction hob.
OVEN
If the time hasn’t been set, press the two arrow buttons simultaneously and then use the + and – buttons to scroll to the correct time.
Use the FUNCTION dial to select the function you require and then turn the TEMPERATURE dial to the desired heat level.
EXTRACTOR FAN
The extractor fan is located behind on the hob.
MICROWAVE
The microwave is located above the oven. For quick use:

DISHWASHER
The dishwasher tablets are located in the cupboard under the sink.
Programme Descriptions:
Auto – senses the optimal wash programme for your dishes.
Heavy – a wash for heavily soiled dishes.
Normal – a wash for your everyday dishes.
Normal Eco – helps you save energy and water for everyday dishes.
Fast – a fast wash for lightly soiled dishes.
Delicate – for all your heat-sensitive dishes.
Rinse – prevents food from drying on dishes.
Hygiene – a wash for sanitising your dishes.
FIRE EXTINGUISHER
A small fire extinguisher can be found under the kitchen sink.
If the extinguisher is emptied and the fire is still not out, evacuate the property immediately.
LAUNDRY
For your convenience, the property is equipped with a washing machine and a dryer, as well as an iron and ironing board.

TO WATCH SKY TV (MASTER BEDROOM)
To turn on the TV press the red POWER button on the SKY remote control. The TV channels and volume can both be adjusted by choosing + and – on the remote control.

We kindly ask guests NOT to encourage the ducks onto the property by feeding them, as they will leave a mess on the patio and inside the house.
