13 Fox's Rush Property Manual

All of our Resort Homes and Luxury Retreat properties have been specifically tailored and designed to the requirements of individual owners, making your stay a unique experience.  Within this manual we have included some information specific to this property relating to the operation of various components found within the house.   We would like to remind you that this is a residential area with neighbouring properties and we ask that noise levels are kept to a minimum. Should any accidental damage occur, please inform a member of staff immediately to avoid any additional charges being incurred. Thank you for your care and consideration.

PHONES
Millbrook’s Hotel system is linked to the phone/s in this property.

PRIVATE STORAGE
The owner may have various cupboards and/or rooms around the property locked for private storage.

RUBBISH
There is a waste disposal unit located in your kitchen sink where you can dispose of soft food scraps and vegetable peel.  Place the items you want to dispose of down the drain, turn on the cold water tap so water is running and press the button located behind the sink to start the grinding.  Press the button again to stop the machine.  Please do not place chicken, fish or meat bones, banana skins (or any fibrous or hard foods) in the unit.

There is a rubbish bin located under the kitchen sink. Outside of the property there is a GENERAL WASTE rubbish bin (red lid) which are collected on a Monday and a GLASS BOTTLE rubbish bin (blue lid) which are collected on a Friday. Please rinse all bottles and remove any lids before disposing of them to avoid contamination. 

FIRE EXTINGUISHER
A small fire extinguisher can be found under the kitchen sink.

  1. Pull the pin on the extinguisher.
  2. Aim the nozzle toward the base of the fire.
  3. Squeeze the handle to release the extinguisher agent.
  4. Sweep from side to side until the flames are extinguished.

If the extinguisher is emptied and the fire is still not out, evacuate the property immediately.

HEATING

CEILING HEAT (LOUNGE & BEDROOMS)
The ceiling heat has been set for your convenience prior to your arrival, however if you wish to change the temperature, simply turn the dial on the wall thermostat.

UNDER-FLOOR HEATING (BATHROOMS)
The under-floor heating will be turned on prior to your arrival as it takes time to heat up.  The switch is located on the wall in each bathroom next to the towel rail and is labelled HEAT.  The other switch controls the heated towel rail. There is also a wall fan heater in each bathroom.

GAS FIREPLACE (LOUNGE)

  1. Ensure the switch named GAS, located at the bottom of the wall around the corner to the far-left side of TV is on. The FAN switch beneath is can also be used should you wish to push more heat out from the fireplace.
  2. Pull out the tray at the bottom of the fireplace.
  3. Push in and turn the knob the left toward the word PILOT until you hear it click and see a flame. Keep holding the for approximately 10 seconds.
  4. Let go of the knob and the adjust the size of the flame but continuing to turn the knob to the left.
  5. Please turn the GAS and FAN swtiches off after use.

IMPORTANT:  Never place items close to or up against the fireplace.  If you have young children in your group, a fireguard can be requested from Reception to be delivered to the property.  Always switch off the fireplace when the property is vacant.

KITCHEN
The kitchen is equipped with the following appliances for your convenience:

HOB

  1. Use the dials on the far-right side of the oven to control the hob elements.
  2. Turn the dial that corresponds to the element you wish to use in a clockwise direction (to the right) until you reach the desired heat.
  3. Always turn the dial back to the OFF position when finished using the hob.

OVEN

  1. Ensure the OVEN switch on the wall behind the hob is ON.
  2. The clock must be set before the oven will work. If the clock needs resetting due to a power failure, press and hold down  and  together, then press - /  and + /  buttons until the clock shows the correct time.
  3. Use the Function dial to choose the cooking programme you require.
  4. Then set the temperature for the cooking programme using the TEMPERATURE dial (this will differ slightly with each cooking setting).
  5. When finished cooking, turn the FUNCTION dial to the OFF

MICROWAVE

  1. Press POWER LEVEL until the desired level is reached.
  2. Press the numerical keypad to choose the desired cooking time, then press START.
  3. When finished cooking, press the STOP/RESET button.

EXTRACTOR FAN

  1. Pull out the extractor fan above the hob to begin use.
  2. The extractor fan is controlled by the slider on the right. Simply slide it to the desired level of extraction: I, II or III.  To turn it off, slide it back to the star.
  3. The slider on the left side turns the light on and off.

DISHWASHER
The dishwasher tablets are located in the cupboard under the sink.

  1. Turn on the dishwasher by pressing 
  2. Load your dishes into the dish drawer.
  3. Place your dishwashing tablet in the tablet tray and close the door.
  4. Press the  button on the left of the display panel until you get the desired dishwashing setting.
  5. Press the  button on the far right to begin the wash cycle (this button will also pause the cycle if needed).

LAUNDRY
For your convenience, the property is equipped with a washing machine and a dryer.  An iron and ironing board  are located in the closet of the master bedroom upstairs.

WASHING MACHINE
For quick use:

  1. Open the lid, remove the cap labelled fabric softener, place the washing powder into the cylinder and place the cap back on.
  2. Put your clothes in evenly around the base of the cylinder.
  3. Press the POWER button.
  4. Choose which type of cycle you wish by pressing one of the blue buttons, e.g. WOOL for wool garments.
  5. Use the arrow keys to reach your desired wash temperature, water level and spin speed.
  6. Press the START/PAUSE button to begin the washing process.

TUMBLE DRYER
For quick use:

  1. Press the  button.
  2. Use the + and buttons to adjust the settings under TEMPERATURE and DRYNESS to your requirements.
  3. Press the  button to start the dying cycle. Press it again if you need to pause the cycle.

HOME ENTERTAINMENT

TV (LOUNGE)

  1. To turn on the TV, press  on the Samsung remote control and use this same remote to adjust the volume and change the TV channels.
  2. To turn off the TV, press  again.



    IMPORTANT:  If using streaming services such as Netflix or Lightbox, please ensure you log out of your account when finished.  Millbrook will not be responsible for other parties gaining access to your personal account.

TV (MASTER BEDROOM)

  1. To turn on the TV, press  on the Sky remote control and use this same remote to adjust the volume and change the TV channels.
  2. To turn off the TV, press  again.

     

SKYLIGHT BLINDS (Master Bedroom)
To open/close the blinds on the skylights above the bed, there is a panel located on the wall to the left of the bedroom door.  For the window blind on the left side, press the UP/ DOWN arrows on 2 and the UP/DOWN arrows on 1 for the blind on the right side.  To pause the process or close the blinds halfway, simply press the 1 or 2 button depending on which window blind you choose.

DUCKS
We kindly ask guests NOT to encourage the ducks onto the property by feeding them, as they will leave a mess on the patio and inside the house.
