Tell us about yourself:

Originally from France, I studied Tourism Management at University, before starting my travels. I spent a year in Australia, then a year in Banff, Canada, and decided to follow the snow to Queenstown! Fast forward 8 years, I am all settled in with my partner and our two dogs, and a job I love!

What does your typical day at Millbrook look like?

No day is the same around here. I spend a lot of time ensuring the Front Office team is ready operationally for our guests arriving and any larger groups coming to stay in the near future. I work closely with the Guest Services Manager and Hotel Manager to refine our guest experiences as well as our team's engagement. My role is operational so you will often find me on the floor, assisting the team and helping guests. I love having the ability to build connections with guests, while looking after team members on a daily basis.

What do you love most about your job?

The team! We are so lucky to work alongside such amazing people, with their own experiences, interesting background and personalities. We all compliment each other so well and make the work place a fun space to come and take care of guests and each other.

What is it that makes Millbrook so special?

The natural beauty of the resort, which is a true credit to the hard work our Landscaping team put in, as well as the vision that the Ishii Family had for this place. You never get tired of driving through the Avenue surrounded by trees, it truly feels like you are in paradise. It is also a very quiet resort, regardless of how busy it can be, it always feels peaceful. Staying in one of our Deluxe Studios by the streamside and waking up to birds singing is my favourite.

What is the best advice you've ever been given?

The best advice I've received isn't from one specific moment or person, but rather a collection of lessons I've taken from athletes. As a big sports fan, I find a lot of inspiration in how high-performing athletes train, both physically and mentally. Their dedication, resilience, and relentless pursuit of excellence push me to apply the same principles to my own life, helping me grow and strive for my best every day.
